Civil Engineer Project Manager
REI Engineering, Inc. (REI) has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Civil Engineer with five or more years in the civil engineering field. We are seeking someone with exceptional character who can help to take the lead and oversee the successful completion of projects. The duties of this position would be similar to a Project Engineer, Senior Staff Engineer, Lead Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager depending on qualifications and experience. The specific responsibilities and duties of this position may include:
- Leading the project design and permitting efforts from project start to finish.
- Coordinating amongst the project team both internally and externally.
- Representing projects at team coordination and public approval meetings.
- Assisting in project scoping, contract development, and project management.
- Engaging in or overseeing the preparation of stormwater management plans.
- Engaging in or overseeing plan development from concept through construction documents.
- Engaging in or overseeing the preparation of project cost estimates.
- Leading the assembly of project bid packages, inclusive of plans, specifications, and contracts.
- Answering bidding and construction questions.
- Researching and interpreting local, state, and federal regulations impacting project requirements.
- Being able to work both independently and within a team atmosphere to accomplish project goals.
Ideal candidates for this position will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
- 5 to 10 years of civil engineering experience; preferably, but not limited to, site development
- Licensed PE within Wisconsin or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Attention to detail and ability to communicate and coordinate with peers, clients, and regulators
- Computer skills with experience in using Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling experience would be considered a bonus.

Qualifications and Role Responsibilities
- Bachelor of Science Degree or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or technical college
- 5+ years of related experience in civil engineering, transportation (construction)
- Wisconsin Professional Engineer (PE) (preferred)
- Knowledgeable in WisDOT Standard Specifications, HCTP material certifications, and FDM, roadway plans and specifications
- Lead and/or contribute to the management and inspection of road and bridge projects
- Ability to travel throughout the State of Wisconsin, daily, weekly, and/or overnight for project-related work and/or professional development
- Valid driver’s license
- Legal authorization to work permanently, without time limitations, restrictions, or need for work sponsorship in the United States
